Raining Blood chapter 2
Her lungs hurt as she took her first breathe of morning crisp air. Her body ached and her bones cracked as she moved each muscle slowly. She slowly scanned her surroundings in confusion. She gasped out loud when she realized the happenings from yesterday.
Was he still here? Her thoughts raced in her mind. She coughed from the lack of air and leaned back into the tree, calming her panicking heart. He was no where to be seen, so she was fine for the time being. Leaning her head on the trunk of the tree, she looked up at the morning sky. The sun was rising, turning the clouds a light shade of pink. The world seemed to continue on normally even though her world seemed to spiral down into chaos.
Boo, a voice whispered into her ear. She stifled a scream as she recognized it from yesterday. The voice erupted in laugher and threw a bloodied deer in front of her. She looked at the bloodied carcass and gagged; its eyes were gauged out and the smell of blood was copper-like and strong. It continued to pour out blood and soon pooled around at her feet. The man with red eyes sat in front of her, ripping off a leg from the deer. He held the bloody leg in his hand and ravenously tore the meat apart. He swallowed the meat whole and licked the bone clean. She sat in horror, unable to tear her eyes away from the gruesome scene. She shivered when he tore another leg and held it out to her. He shrugged and took a bite from the leg he had offered her. She watched as he licked his bloody lips.
What are you? she gasped in horror.

What are you?
What a stupid and foolish lie that came from her mouth. If she ever believed him to forget what hatred and revenge he had towards her, she was the foolish one. Never would he forget her, until she was dead. He smirked at the thought of her writhing in pain and living her last seconds. He watched her eyes look from his teeth to his red eyes. The same fear and pity lingered in her green eyes; he let out a low growl and watched as she backed up into a tree. He smirked and dropped the deers leg, slowly standing and advancing towards her.
Surely you remember me from centuries ago. He glared as she shook her head no. Do not lie to me. Just because you feign as a weak human does not mean you are not her. I should just kill you now, he snarled at her.
What?! he heard her rasp out, I-I-I dont know who you are, honestly. He watched as she shook her head frantically.

I-I-I dont know who you are, honestly. She stuttered out. She frantically searched her brain for an answer, persuasive enough to make him believe. She was human! She could never live for centuries even if her body willed it.
Perhaps I should remind you then, he said, leaning towards her until she could feel his breath on her face and smell the strong copper-like aroma of blood. Her heart beat loudly, in unison with every breath she heard the man take. She quickly turned away and shivered in fear. She felt each inhale and exhale of his breath as he whispered the words into her ear.
I am the red eyes demon.
