Raining Blood ch.1 by ~FreePassion:iconFreePassion:

Raining Blood chapter 1
It was an eerie dark night, as she walked through the forest. There were many tales about missing women in this forest and they began to flood and frighten her mind. A twig snapped behind her and she turned around, looking at nothing but darkness.
“Come here, girl,” a voice rung and she sprinted away in fear. Her heart began beating harder and her brain pulsed. The only emotion she felt was fear. She continued to run and began to curse herself when her body refused to run any further. She screamed when a hand grabbed her shoulder. It hissed at her, as she felt the hand on her shoulder let go. She scrambled backwards and fell tripping over roots. She closed her eyes waiting, but instead heard the sound of metal hitting metal.
--
He was walking through the forest and sensed two other beings in the area. He could see perfectly through the black, for he was not human but demon. A scream was heard and he rushed to the scene. A hideous creature had cornered a human girl who stood in fear. He scoffed at the weak human girl and turned to leave her to her fate. He stopped when he stared into green eyes. Fear rippled through her eyes as if she was begging for him to intervene. His demon side told him to leave her to die, but his human remnants refused.
‘Damn his human feelings,’ he cursed to himself before gripping his sword to save the damsel in distress. He landed on the ground and sliced the hand that made contact with the girl. The creature hissed and turned to him. Swiftly, he struck from the side and decapitated the head of the creature. Blood from the creature spurted into the air for brief seconds before falling down like raindrops. The head rolled to the floor and wallowed in its own blood. He scoffed and turned to the girl who stared at him.
----
The clouds that covered the moon had moved and the night sky was soon illuminated. Moments ago she had seen this man maim the creature to pieces. She stared in horror and relief. In one swift blow he had made it rain blood which speckled the white dress she wore. The man turned around and looked down at her with fiery red eyes. His eyes gleamed under the moonlight expressing a sorrowful loneliness; somewhere in her heart she wanted to ask the man why he was so lonely. The man advanced towards her and her thoughts were forgotten as she cowered in fear. He lifted his sword and held it to her neck. She held her breath in fear and locked her green eyes with his red ones.
“Give me a reason why I shouldn’t end your life,” his voice said with every intention of killing her. She gasped when the cold metal kissed her neck.
---
The green eyes stared at him in fear. Somehow they were familiar, like a distant memory from a long gone past of his. She looked like her; the witch who ruined his life centuries ago. Anger flowed through his dry veins, urging him to kill the look alike.
“Give me a reason why I shouldn’t end your life.”
He stood with his sword to her throat, enjoying the fear she emitted. He could smell her fear and hear her speeding heart beat; just like a predator playing with its prey. It annoyed him how she continued to stare at him with those stupid green eyes; they flashed with fear, fright, horror, but behind all that he saw pity. He scoffed at her and pressed his sword closer to her neck. He did not need a human’s pity. The girl slowly stood up and he followed her movements with his sword still at her neck.
--
She had no clue how she had the motive to stand up, when a man was going to kill her. He looked tall when she looked up at him from the ground, but now she could see that he was a foot taller than her. Her heart pounded loudly and she was sure he could hear it. She felt her body move a step towards him. She let out a breath of relief when his sword lowered when she advanced towards him. Extending a hand she touched the bleeding scar that marked his perfect face. A strange feeling pulsed from her bloodied hand to the nub of her heart and she gave into the dark abyss of night.
---
The human girl had just brushed the bleeding scar that marked his face with her disgusting human hand. He watched as she took an uneasy step forward before fainting. He caught the fragile human with his free hand and stared down at her. Sheathing his sword, he slung her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and told himself that the stupid human had better be grateful towards him when she woke.
“Stupid human,” he growled out as he walked slowly through the forest. What could have made him spare the human’s life? If it was any other human he would have slain them. He remembered small distant memories of “her” and the strange feeling that surged through his body when she brushed his scar with her hand. He dropped her on the ground and sat by a near by tree, waiting for her to wake.
